VR Games & Experiences

What is free-roam VR?

Free-roam VR lets you physically walk through a designated arena while exploring and interacting with a shared virtual environment using wireless headsets and controllers. It is different from playing while standing at a single VR station.

What is a free-roam VR escape room?

Your team enters a virtual setting, explores, finds clues, solves puzzles, and works together to complete an objective before time runs out. Experiences have different themes, difficulty levels, and age recommendations. Explore VR escape rooms.

What types of VR games are available?

VRCADE offers action and shooting games, puzzle-based VR escape rooms, adventures, kid-friendly arcade games, horror experiences, and multi-game bundles. Visit the action games, adventures, family games, and escape-room pages to compare options.

How long is a free-roam VR session?

Standard arena bookings offer 20 or 45 minutes of VR gameplay, depending on the selected package. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in, headset setup, and instructions. Some individual games have different published durations.

How many people can play together in one VR arena?

Most free-roam experiences accommodate 2–6 players per arena; certain games have a lower maximum. Check the chosen game for its specific player limit.

Can 7–20 players play at the same time?

Yes. VRCADE has four free-roam arenas and can accommodate up to 20 VR players simultaneously. Larger bookings are divided into separate arena teams; not everyone will be inside the same shared virtual game.

Can we book for more than 20 players?

Yes. Larger groups can use scheduled rotations. Guests waiting for their turn can enjoy the café, Board Game Lounge, or event spaces as arranged. Request a group quote for groups over 20.

Will strangers join our free-roam booking?

No. Regular free-roam bookings reserve an arena for your own group rather than combining you with unfamiliar players.

Do we choose our VR game during booking?

For standard arena sessions, you can choose a suitable game when you arrive with help from our staff. After the Fall, Arizona Sunshine, and Rotten Apple are premium experiences that require their dedicated booking option.

Do I need previous VR experience?

Not at all. Our team will explain the equipment and controls, help fit your headset, and guide first-time players before gameplay.

What are VR game bundles?

Bundles let you try multiple experiences during one booking. The website lists a 20-minute mini-game bundle with two games, a 45-minute mini-game bundle with four games, and a 45-minute two-game option for eligible titles. See VR game bundles for current availability and limits.

What is the difference between free-roam arenas and VR solo stations?

In a free-roam arena, your team walks and interacts together in a shared play area. A VR solo station is an individual play space where you explore supported games using controllers; select titles can support multiplayer across stations. Explore solo VR stations.

Can I come alone to play VR?

Yes. Solo VR stations are designed for individual play. For free-roam multiplayer arena experiences, the published booking options generally begin at two players.

How long are the VR solo-station bookings?

Solo stations offer 30-minute bookings for $20 per station (approximately 25 minutes of gameplay) or 60-minute bookings for $40 per station (approximately 50 minutes of gameplay). Up to four stations may be available at one time.

Are all games and trailers guaranteed to be available?

No. Game availability may change because of technical maintenance, licensing, software updates, and other operational needs. Check the current game page or contact VRCADE if you are visiting for a particular title.

Bookings, Pricing & Payments

How much does a regular free-roam VR session cost?

Standard arena booking prices are currently $20 per person for 20 minutes and $40 per person for 45 minutes, plus applicable taxes. Select premium games cost $45 per person and must be booked separately. View VR booking options.

How do I book a VR session?

Visit our booking page, choose your group size and duration, select a date and time, and complete the payment steps. Review your booking information and applicable terms before pressing Pay.

Can I pay a deposit instead of the full amount?

Yes. For regular arena VR bookings, you may pay in full or pay the reservation deposit: $50 for up to 6 players, or $100 for 7 or more players. The applicable first $50 or $100 remains the reservation deposit even if you pay the full price.

When is the remaining balance due?

If you pay only the deposit for a standard VR session, the remaining balance is payable at VRCADE before gameplay begins. Birthday and event bookings follow their own payment deadlines.

Are prices in Canadian dollars, and is HST included?

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable HST is additional unless a particular offer states that taxes are included. Your total is shown during checkout.

Can I add or remove players after booking?

Contact VRCADE as early as possible. Additional players are subject to availability, game capacity, and applicable charges. Reducing attendance does not automatically reduce a fixed package price or change an existing cancellation deadline.

Can I use a discount code or promotion?

Eligible promotions may be applied according to the conditions displayed with the offer. Promotions generally cannot be combined or added retroactively to a completed purchase unless expressly stated otherwise.

VR Cancellations & Rescheduling

What is the refund policy for a regular VR booking made at least 24 hours in advance?

For a reservation originally made at least 24 hours before its scheduled start, cancel at least 24 hours before gameplay to receive a refund of payments above the applicable non-refundable $50 or $100 reservation deposit. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before gameplay are not refundable under the ordinary policy.

What if I originally booked less than 24 hours before my VR session?

If your reservation was originally created within 24 hours of the session, you may cancel before the scheduled start time and receive a refund of payments above the applicable non-refundable reservation deposit. Cancellations at or after the scheduled start time and no-shows receive no refund or credit.

Can I reschedule a regular VR booking?

One complimentary reschedule is permitted with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability, and all paid amounts transfer to the approved new date. For bookings originally made within 24 hours of the session, contact VRCADE directly; rescheduling is subject to management approval. Rescheduling does not reset the original cancellation eligibility period.

What if I am late or do not show up?

Please arrive 15 minutes early. Late arrivals may have less gameplay time, and extensions are not guaranteed. A no-show or cancellation at or after the scheduled start time is not eligible for a refund or credit under the ordinary booking policy.

What if there is a serious emergency or severe weather?

Contact VRCADE as soon as possible. Serious emergencies and severe weather affecting safe travel may be reviewed individually. An exception, reschedule, or credit is not automatic; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

What happens if VRCADE cancels my session?

If VRCADE cancels a session or cannot safely provide it, you can transfer payments to another available date or receive a refund for the service not provided, subject to applicable law.

How do I request a cancellation or booking change?

Contact VRCADE directly at info@vrcade.ca or 647-351-9779. Requests are assessed using the time they are received relative to the originally scheduled start, in Toronto local time. Read our full Terms & Conditions.

What birthday party packages does VRCADE offer?

The Classic VR Party offers a shorter celebration with 20 minutes of gameplay per participant. The Ultimate VR Party includes 45 minutes of gameplay per participant. Both include a private party room, staff guidance, and board-game access. Each offers bring-your-own-food and food-package versions. View birthday packages and current prices.

How long does a VRCADE birthday party last?

Classic parties are approximately 90 minutes in scheduled duration; Ultimate parties are approximately two hours. Both include one hour of private party-room access according to the booked package.

How many children are included, and does the birthday child count?

Birthday packages include up to 10 participating guests, and the birthday child counts as one of them. Additional VR players can be added at the applicable package rate, subject to availability.

Do parents need to pay to attend?

Parents and guardians who attend but do not participate in VR may stay without an additional VR participation charge. Food packages are calculated for paid VR participants rather than non-playing observers.

What is included in a birthday food package?

Each paid VR participant receives one personal 9-inch cheese or pepperoni pizza, one medium refillable fountain drink, and one bag of chips, as described on the birthday-party page. Food for non-playing observers is not included.

Can we bring our own food or birthday cake?

Yes, where permitted by the bring-your-own-food birthday package or another approved arrangement. Outside-food permissions depend on the package selected. Contact VRCADE about any unusual food or setup requirements.

Is the VR gameplay and party room private?

Yes. Your booked VR group is not combined with strangers, and the private party room is reserved for your celebration during its scheduled time.

When do we get access to our birthday party room?

The private party room is scheduled for the second hour of your booking. If available, complimentary early setup access of around 20–30 minutes may be offered, but it cannot be guaranteed. If another group is using the room, access begins after their departure and room preparation.

Can we decorate the room?

Yes, within the party-room rules. The room includes a personalized birthday banner displayed on its TV. Decorations must not damage property; contact VRCADE in advance for special setup needs.

How much is the birthday booking fee, and when is payment due?

A $150 non-refundable booking fee confirms the birthday reservation and is applied toward the total. The remaining balance is due 7 calendar days before the party. Bookings made within seven days require full payment unless VRCADE approves another arrangement.

Can I reschedule my birthday party?

Yes. At least 7 days’ notice: one complimentary reschedule, subject to availability. From 72 hours to less than 7 days: rescheduling may be approved with a $100 fee. Less than 72 hours: only management-approved emergencies may qualify. Normally only one reschedule is allowed; the new date must be within 12 months of the original event date. Paid amounts transfer, and rescheduling does not reset the original cancellation eligibility period.

What happens if I cancel a birthday party?

8 or more days before: payments above the $150 booking fee are refunded. Less than 8 days but more than 72 hours: 70% VRCADE credit on payments above the fee. 72 to 24 hours: 50% VRCADE credit on payments above the fee. Less than 24 hours or no-show: no refund or credit under the ordinary policy. All calculations use amounts actually paid, excluding the $150 booking fee.

When do birthday cancellation credits expire?

Birthday cancellation credits have a stated validity of 12 months after the originally scheduled event date, subject to applicable law. They can be used toward eligible VRCADE services; ask us if you need details about using your credit.

When can I trade in games, and how can I use the credit?
